Steve Pool is a highly experienced pool professional with over 40 years of experience in the industry. As the son of Jerry, who founded the first pool store, Steve's Pool Service, in Thousand Oaks in 1970, Steve grew up around construction and pools, and inherited his father's passion for the trade. After proudly serving his country for eight years in the Navy during Operation Desert Storm, Steve returned home to Thousand Oaks and brought the founding principles he learned in the Navy to his work ethic in business.

In 1999, Steve established American Tile Descaling, a company that provides clients with an alternative to re-tiling their pools when calcium becomes a problem. He discovered the "glass beading" process and fabricated his first descaling trailer, which marked the birth of ATD. Incorporated in 2000, American Tile Descaling has assisted clientele from Santa Barbara county down to Orange county.

ATD offers four core services: tile descaling, micro topping, pool stapling, and high heat pressure washing. By staying focused on these core services, ATD provides excellence in workmanship and accountability. Steve manages American Tile Descaling with the same pride and structure he learned during his Navy tenure, ensuring that his clients receive the highest level of workmanship and attention to detail.
